I LOVE this book! I may be a geek when it comes to positivity, habit building, and making things easier, but this book is fantastic!Full Disclosure: I recently interviewed Dr. Carter for our Inspire Nation Show!I love this book. Why? Because she helps you make life easier at the same time you're getting more done. Yes you can do more, but with less effort. That's why she calls it the sweet spot. Whether you're a hyper-achiever, a business starter, or want to spend more time with the family, the tools she gives you in this book will help you literally transform your life.I read a book a day, over 225 for our show so far, and I've never found so many tips per page or chapter. Even if you add just a tip a day or a week, you'll be making life easier, happier, and more positive in ways you could only imagine. Even with our show and all the books we've read and guests we've interviewed she has some of the most innovative, and easy-to-install (so-to-speak) ideas for hacking your life.I can't recommend the book enough, and I am so glad I read it. I just made a HUGE change in my weekly work schedule because of this book, and I'm immediately seeing rewards; as is my wife, who's now seeing me more, and with less stress thanks to Dr. Carter's advice. If you want less stress, and more time to do the things you love to do, or to do them better, then I can't recommend this book enough!

FIVE STARS PLUS!!!! I can't begin to describe how much I enjoyed this book. Only a few chapters in and I was recommending it to friends, coworkers, and clients within my psychotherapy practice. This is easily one of the, if not THE best positive psychology books I've ever read (and that's saying something). Christine has a very clear, down to earth, and accessible style and the suggested tips she offered were very practical. I appreciated her cogent real life examples, often of her playing mom. I liked this so much I bought the book after listening to the audio version from the library (also a great way to enjoy this book - very well done) and plan on reading it again, this time highlighting and taking notes in the margin. I can't wait to read what she writes next! Do yourself a favor and read this book!!!

I found the book to be extremely helpful to people who are "snowed under" with work and other obligations. The author has sound ideas that everyone who feels overwhelmed should read and consider. While the book, in my opinion, is overly long and loses some of its impact in the last few sections I found the reading (of the book) to be worthwhile.

AMAZING!! I have read this book over and over again. I can't tell you how much great advice I have taken and put into effect. As a working mother I always feel hurried and rushed. This book has very real practical advice on how to break bad habits and start good ones. I wish I would have had this book years ago. I love the way Christine writes and find it so easy to read because it is super interesting and RELEVANT to any working mother's life.Thank you for researching and putting together this book! It has truly been life altering for me :)

This book has inspired me to write daily.I thought this was just one of those self-help books, but it is extremely well researched and I enjoyed reading it. It has made a difference to me in that it supported my daily writing (my book is about 250 pages by now). I like the compassionate approach and how to fit things into a busy life. This book definitely is a more valuable read than browsing the many self-help posts and articles on-line. When I showed it to a friend, she bought it immediately and is using it in her counseling practice.Christine has really figured out how to use recent research and apply it to make a difference in a busy life with two teen-agers, a job and writing books.

Christine Carter has hit a home run! This collection of ideas are research-tested, and she demonstrates how to apply them to our lives for real results. I may not be able to do it exactly as she does, but there are clearly places in my life that are enriched when I add even small bits or changes to my routine. I especially love how she distills the short-cut to making good habits and removing bad ones, to take advantage of the parts of our brains that work on auto-pilot. Anyone who feels too busy and overwhelmed to be happy, to enjoy life, or to find love, deserves to know these ideas. We can "have it all", we just have to re-define what "it all" means.

As a full-time attorney and mother of three young children, I've often wondering whether it would be possible to also maintain friendships, hobbies, fitness, and my sanity along the way. Christine Carter tells you how to "have it all" while becoming a happier, more fulfilled person in the meantime. Even if you already consider yourself an efficient and enlightened person, this book is worth a read.

This book was a pleasant surprise - chock-full of various ideas and concepts in positive psychology. I have read a number of books on the subject and this book nicely brings it together in a series of suggestions on how to make this happen in your life. I feel like ordering a physical copy so I can re-read it and make notes on the book itself (I read it on KIndle).
